Unibuz is building the social platform for university students across Australia. We're a small team shipping fast across a mobile app, several web surfaces, and a backend, and we move quickly because we share code across all of it.

The role

We're looking for one engineer who can move comfortably across the whole stack. You'll own features end to end, from the mobile UI down to the database, rather than being boxed into one layer.

What you'll work on

• A cross-platform mobile app (iOS, Android, and web)
• Several React web surfaces: a public marketing site plus internal dashboards
• A Postgres backend with serverless functions, real authorisation rules, and SQL you'll write yourself
• The plumbing that makes a real product work: payments, modern passwordless auth, maps, and multi-language support

Our stack

A modern, fully-typed TypeScript stack spanning a cross-platform mobile app, several React web surfaces, and a Postgres backend. We share code across all of it in a single monorepo. (Specific tools and libraries we'll walk through at interview.)

You'll thrive here if you

• Are strong in TypeScript and comfortable in a fully typed codebase
• Have shipped real mobile apps to the App Store and Play Store
• Are confident with Postgres: schema design, authorisation, and writing SQL, not just calling an ORM
• Like owning a feature across mobile, web, and backend in a single change
• Care about code quality: linting, testing, and reviewable PRs
